Fine Arts

Welcome to the Fine Arts Program at Pflugerville High School! Our program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in the arts, including visual arts, music, theater, and dance. We believe that the arts are an essential part of a well-rounded education, and we are committed to helping students develop their creativity, critical thinking skills, and artistic abilities.

Our Fine Arts program is led by a team of experienced and passionate teachers who are dedicated to providing students with the best possible education in the arts. Our curriculum is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in the fundamentals of their chosen art form, while also allowing them to explore their creativity and develop their own unique style and voice.

We offer a wide range of courses and activities for students to choose from, including:

• Visual Arts: Our visual arts program includes courses in drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media. Students have access to a state-of-the-art art studio, where they can work on their own projects and receive guidance and feedback from our experienced teachers.

• Music: Our music program includes courses in choir and band. Our music program is designed to help students develop their musical skills, while also fostering a love of music and a sense of community.

• Theater: Our theater program includes courses in acting, directing, and stagecraft. We also produce several plays and musicals each year, giving students the opportunity to perform in front of live audiences and develop their skills as actors and performers.

• Dance: Our dance program includes courses in ballet, jazz, modern, and hip-hop. We also offer a competitive dance team, which competes at the local and state level. Our dance program is designed to help students develop their physical abilities, as well as their creativity and expression.

In addition to our regular courses and activities, we also offer a wide range of opportunities for students to showcase their talents and engage with the community. These include:

• Performances: We produce several performances each year, including concerts, recitals, and plays. These performances are open to the public and provide an opportunity for students to showcase their talents and gain performance experience.

• Exhibitions: We host several art exhibitions each year, showcasing the work of our visual arts students. These exhibitions are open to the public and provide an opportunity for students to share their work with a wider audience.

• Community Engagement: We are committed to engaging with the community and sharing the benefits of the arts with others. We participate in local events, host workshops, and collaborate with other schools and organizations to promote the arts and provide opportunities for our students.
